Mr Hibbett had indeed got round to doing these, and they were passed out to approving glances, for use as and when they were needed.
OTWAY LETTER
A letter congratulating John Otway on his recent chart success had been prepared. Its contents were agreed upon, and it was signed by all, ready to be sent to Mr Otway himself.
CHRISTMAS MEAL
The Christmas Meal would take place once again in Leicester, on December 17th. Mr Whitaker would invite Agent Alice to attend, as that would be nice.
ORGANISATIONAL ISSUES
AGM
This would now be postponed (again) until the New Year when we might actually have some Cash Money to give out… well, a Board can dream, can't it?
WEBPAGES
Changes discussed last time had been made, but Mr Hibbett was still experiencing difficulties MP3ing tracks - he promised he would try and sort this for the next time.
NEWSLETTER
The new news page of news had been DONE, and it was agreed that the next item of news to present would be a special Christmas message to all our readers.
PLUGGERS
Mr Fleay had sent them a copy of his album, as requested.
DISTRIBUTION
Agent Alice had so far sold about 70 copies of the Frankie Machine album, and about 15 of the Chemistry Experiment. Well done Agent Alice, we say! ISAAC was working well too, and Mr Hibbett would email the reporting systems to Mr Whitaker a.s.a.p. Meanwhile there was about £100 in the online shop's account, and Mr Fleay would attempt to extract it. The online shop would appear in the News section of the website, and Mr Hibbett would sort it out so that the Singles and Albums sections of the shop were more obvious. He would also try and hassle Amazon again re. selling with them.
FINANCE
Mr Hibbett had tried without success to contact Prime - he would try some more, and if that failed he would try contacting The Boss.
RECORD STALL
The Board had been too "busy" to do anything at the Inner City Crawl.
THE BOOK
Oh dear. PEND!
FOOTBALL
Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. The meeting cheered a little when it noted that everybody's Second Teams were doing well, if not their first.
A&R
FRANKIE MACHINE
Wave One of the promo copies had gone out, garnering a good few reviews, with a possible Wave Two to follow. An advert for the album had been noted in Org Magazine, although the proposed compilation didn't seem to be happening, but that was OK. The Inner City Crawl had been really good, and there might be a gig coming in London.
The WIAIWYA compilation had now gone off the America to be pressed, but the Armadillo compilation track had yet to be sent. Finally Mr Fleay reported that the mystery title of the second album was "Reunmelt My Heart". "It's not a real word", he said, "Do you see?" The meeting then fell to patting him on the end, stating "Oh bless, aaah!"
L CHRISTIAN LUNDHOLM
Nothing had really happened since last time, due to Events, but it was agreed that The Board should GO for it with this one - Mr Fleay would send Mr Hibbett the address for Radio 3, and Mr Hibbett would get some review copies sent out, especially to "Relaxing Classics", which Mr Whitaker stated was his favoured in-bath listening. Mr Hibbett would also visit his local classical music shop, to ask them about distributors.
MJ HIBBETT & THE VALIDATORS
Winchester had been good, Tom's wrist was on the mend, and there had been mixing. Oh! Let it be over soon!
THE FRIGHTENED PRISONERS OF THE KRAKEN
Contact had be RE-ENGAGED with the very mighty Kraken, who had suffered a combination of computing problems and not being arsed. They were now reenergised, with a Radio Merseyside appearance AHOY.
ANY OTHER A & R
PLANS & APOLOGIES
Their album was DONE and copies had been given out for Validation, with Mr Fleay stating it was GOOD. They hoped to put it out in February, and artwork was on the way. Mr Fleay had met with them on Saturday, and stated all was ready. It would be sent to A2Z, hopefully for the usual price, hopefully hopefully around mid-January. Finally it was reported that Mr Mishras press woman might DO it!
TWINKIE
Mr Whitaker PENDED delivery of CDs. Moo had many plans for his label, including a Twinkie Vinyl album and a Plans & Apologies/Selina Kyle split 10" Picture Disc! We DIG his STYLE! He's very excited about it anyway, and also planned a Walkman-based compilation album. GO!
THE PO BOX
Mr Hibbett reported that The Lovely Brothers had been "Good", and would FACT a copy to Mr Whitaker. This month's Demo Count was TEN, with Mr Hibbett taking A13, Grillo , Planquez (who name checked Prolapse!), Purple Munkie and Linda Draper, whilst Mr Whitaker took Cleave, Zorak (Argentinians), The Herring Rod, Mike Halliwell, and Linda Draper again.
ANY OTHER A&R
Mr Fleay had received a Pixies-esque CD at the Inner City Crawl.
ALUMNI NEWS
The Rikki & Daz single was due to CHART next week, and the Board wished them ALL the best. Meanwhile bother Johnny Domino and The Fighting Cocks were making LIVE COMEBACKS, both ROCKING before Christmas. HOLA!
CORRESPONDENCE
Not really.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
LONDON
As Mr Hibbett would be moving to That London it was agreed that there might need to be Some Changes, possibly including moving to six weekly meetings and/or making greater use of email, but this would be discussed further at the Christmas Meal.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting would take place in Leicester on December 17th, firstly in a Swanky Bar, and then over curry.
